What is MedStays Search?

MedStays Search is a platform that enables patients and their families to quickly and confidently secure furnished housing near their hospital or treatment center. Request housing with us, and our dedicated team works with our nationwide network of verified and reliable, quality housing providers to secure lodging for you based on your needs.

Who can use MedStays Search?

Any patient, regardless of their diagnosis, along with their friends, family, caretakers, social workers and case managers can use MedStays Search to find and secure housing near their hospital treatment center if they need accommodations for 30 days or more. 

Who pays for the accommodations?

Accommodations are typically an out of pocket cost for patients. Luckily, there are no service fees for patients to use MedStays Search and we can also help provide you with the necessary paperwork to apply for reimbursement. Some insurance policies, clinical trials, medical programs and non profit organizations will help cover the cost of housing. Ask your social worker or case manager if you qualify for any of these programs.

How long will it take to receive housing options?

Once you request housing online, a team member will reach out to you within two hours and you will begin to receive housing options that day. From there you can review your options and choose your healing home.

What is included in accommodations?

Accommodations offered through MedStays Search come move in ready and are fully-furnished & equipped. You won't have to worry about a separate utility or internet bill because everything comes standard and included in your quoted rates! Request specific features such as a walk-in shower or shuttle service to your treatment center. Our team will work with you to find accommodations that not only meet, but exceed your expectations!

How are the properties verified?

MedStays Search utilizes a network of verified, quality and reliable housing providers to offer accommodations to patients and families traveling for treatments and surgeries. All housing providers are required to follow an extensive cleaning process and furnishings requirement, along with a high service & quality level agreement. Only approved housing providers can submit pre-approved housing options for patients to choose from.
